Deanna Beckenholdt, Executive Director
Deanna is an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with demonstrated 5 star CMS results. Her leadership, dedicated compliance and quality of care transitioned her previous 1 star SNF to 5 stars. Deanna has thrived in customer-focused service while volunteering and working in the SNF, ALF, RCF, hospital and health care industry.
Growing up within walking distance from a hospital and nursing home, Deanna has adored her experiences as a life-long health care volunteer. She obtained her Certified Nurse Assistant and was a Candy Striper and Medical Explorer all while still in high school in Springfield, Missouri. She completed her undergraduate degree, Bachelors of Science in Business Administration Management, from Missouri State University. She currently serves as the Assistant Regional Coordinator of the Missouri Coalition Celebrating Care Continuum Change MC5, Missouri Health Care Association MHCA District IV Treasurer and is a Missouri Board of Nursing Home Administrators Preceptor. Deanna enjoys sharing her passion and zeal of the health care industry and was thrilled to join Sunterra Springs in March 2018.
Calvin Green, Director of Rehabilitation
Calvin is a graduate of Missouri State University where he achieved his Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders Speech-Language Pathology. He began his career in healthcare in 2014 with Mercy as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Mercy Villa where Calvin was tasked with re-establishing a Speech Therapy program within the facility. He was able to establish a results-based program that focused on the individual needs of each patient. Calvin continued his career with Mercy Villa for three years prior to transitioning to Aegis Therapies, and then Choice Rehabilitation, which allowed him the opportunity to continue serve as the facility’s primary Speech-Language Pathologist. Calvin is a Vital Stim certified therapist who currently holds his Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Over his career, Calvin has demonstrated a passion for providing quality therapeutic intervention that is patient focused and results driven. He was excited to join Sunterra Springs in June of 2018 and help establish a new standard for rehabilitation services in skilled nursing facilities.
Emily Christopher RN, Director of Marketing and Admissions
Emily is the Director of Marketing and Admissions at Sunterra Springs Springfield. Emily works closely with health care systems and the community to coordinate care and educate about Sunterra Springs unique model of care. She displays dedication and passion in patient advocacy.
Emily graduated from Cox College of Nursing in 2003. Her nursing experience includes NICU, ER, clinical informatics, pediatric home care, and managing a team that assisted in coordinating home health and hospice care for patients in the southern portion of Missouri. Emily is excited for the opportunity to share and educate the community about the unique Sunterra Springs model.
Linda Sullivan RN, Director of Nursing
Linda is a small town Missouri girl who decided to pursue a nursing career after witnessing the compassionate care her father received by hospice nurses assigned to his case. Linda obtained her Associate Degree of Nursing from Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has also completed credits toward her Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration and Management with Aspen University.
Linda is currently the Director of Nursing at Sunterra Springs Springfield, where she conveys her years of various clinical experiences in long term care, ICU, hospice, case management and ER trauma. Linda has an extensive management background serving as the Director of Emergency Medicine, Hospice, and in Long Term Care.
Linda is dedicated to the mission of compassionate patient care. Above and beyond Linda’s skill of performing as a Registered Nurse, she is also a very passionate advocate for her patients. She brings a warm and comforting approach when educating patients and their loved ones about health-related issues which may affect them. All while keeping in mind the goal of creating a positive environment that lifts the patient’s spirit, even in challenging circumstances.
Linda believes in leading her team to excellence- she is a professional who knows what it takes to provide high quality care. In her previous hospice director position, she led her team to excellence as evidenced by ranking number one in quality and number one in overall category within the nation. Linda has excellent communication and documentation skills with a track record of exceptional documentation reviews for compliance issues and regulation adherence in relation to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), ensuring compliance at both State and Federal levels. Linda has led her teams through successful interim annual state surveys, federal observation state surveys (FOSS), and most recently has been credited with strategic partnership resulting in a recent deficiency free survey.
Throughout Linda’s career, she has received the honor of being inducted into Presidential Honors, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and graduated with her BSN as a magma cum laude. Her most honorable recognition was receiving the Citizen of the Year Award by the State of Missouri after saving the life of a drowning child.
