Putting the SKILL into our Skilled Nursing Facility

This past month Sunterra Springs put on a Halloween Skills Fair, an annual educational event for our staff highlighting various healthcare related topics. This is to ensure that our employees, no matter how many years of experience, can remain up to date on the policies and procedures related to patient care. Our administration and staff dressed in their best costumes and handed out candy, prizes, and information on the following topics and more:

Wound Care

Code Cart

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Advanced Directives

Foley/Peri/Central Line Care

Hoyer Lift/Transfer Training

Life Safety/Fire

Our employees received their flu shots during this event, to keep our residents and ourselves safe during this flu season. Also, Terrace Home Health spoke to our group about the role of home health and hospice and CHF.
